Game Fishing
Minimum 2 night break for groups of 6 - Dinner, Bed & Breakfast & Packed Lunch
We are the ideal location for Game Fishing on the Teifi. Just 2 miles away from Cenarth Falls and only 15 minutes away from the Teifi Estuary at Cardigan. Here at Ailgynnau we understand that the Fisherman requires flexibility, especially as fishing can be enjoyed at anytime of day or night! So come and stay with us and indulge in a hearty breakfast at a time to suit you, take a scrummy packed lunch and return to a 3 course dinner. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink and nibbles (weather permitting) on the Sun Deck. Although unlicensed we are happy to open your own bottle of wine.
Whether experienced or the novice fisherman we recommend using qualified Guides and Instructors. The Teifi River Guides are experts in Sewin (Sea-trout) Fishing at Night, Salmon Fishing, Salt Water Fly-fishing, Rainbow & Brown Trout Fishing. Permits can be obtained from the Teifi River Guides or the Teifi Trout Association.

Cyclist Breaks
Minimum 2 night break for groups of 6 - Dinner, Bed & Breakfast & Afternoon Tea
Ailgynnau is on the Lon Teifi Cycle Route and is an ideal location to take a break and explore the surrounding area. We are located on the boundary of three counties - Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion - all of which have their own identity and beauty. We can provide maps for several circular routes of varying difficulty between 10 to 50 miles; all will include fabulous views and scenery. We have facilities for washing down bikes and a secure lock up. We also provide an overnight laundry facility.
After an energetic day of cycling return to Ailgynnau and let us cook you dinner. Our menus are locally sourced produce and freshly cooked on the day. At an extra charge we can provide scrummy packed lunches to keep you going or, alternatively, recommend places to eat on your chosen route.

- Horse Riding across the Preseli Mountains with breathtaking views and surrounded by centuries of history from £14.00 per hour per person.
- "Private Literary Walk" If you are interested in the history of the area we recommend taking a walk with author Brian John at a cost of £60 per party. This is particularly sought after and we are thrilled Brian has agreed to lead our guests when staying for one of our speciality breaks. The walk takes in Mynydd Carningli and some of the key locations of the Angel Mountain Saga, with breathtaking views of Newport Bay. Visit Brian's website
- Canoeing - Enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the Teifi River as it flows through the Teifi Gorge and alongside the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve. The Teifi is designated as a place of Special Scientific interest and you may be lucky to spot an Otter or a kingfisher as you paddle along. Each trip lasts around 2 hours and costs £25 per person.
- Sea Kayaking - for the more adventurous - from £30 per person. Kayaking on the river Teifi is available for the less experienced.
- Coasteering - includes leaping from cliffs!! Not for the faint hearted. From £25 per person.
- Salmon and Sewin (Sea Trout) permits from £30. Fishing by Cenarth falls from £45 per day.
